Education:

         1)     Junior Congregation -

2)     Nursery - The nursery operates on a rotating coverage schedule. There are two weekly workers who supervise children ages birth to two years during the Saturday service.  The goal for the nursery continues to be to provide safe care for the children while their parents are worshiping in the service. With the fluctuation in the volunteer pool.

3)     Toddlers - The toddler class provides childcare for children ages three to four years old during the Saturday service. The toddler class operates on a rotating coverage schedule. The goal for the toddler class is to introduce the children to God's word through teaching them about the Jewish Holiday's and teaching them about the Bible heroes God spoke through. With the fluctuating volunteer pool, there continues to be a need for more volunteer teachers.

4)     Camp Yeladim - See Photo Album

5)     Hebrew School

6)     Habonim – (Youth) Our youth ministry exists to honor G-d with our lives, to connect with other messianic Jews, to help each other grow in our faith and Jewish identify and to challenge each other in order to discover our ministry, honor G-d with our lives, and to reach non-believing youth.

Family Ministry:

The mission is the unite families with the same spirit of G-d and values for our family, especially our children. We believe it is very important for our children to associate with each other to learn these values not only from their parents but their peers. And for them to realize these values are what G-d desires for them. As parents, these gatherings allow us to share our experiences as parents, encourage each other and enable us to be better parents. We know it is our responsibility as parents, with G-d's guidance, to equip our children with His word and establish His desires for them in their hearts

Adult Education:

Adult Shabbat School is held each Shabbat morning from 9:00AM 'til 10:15AM in room G. We are presently studying the book of Isaiah. The class operates on a small group model with music, sharing, prayer and Bible study. Jerry Husted leads the class, but the study, in fact the whole class, is very interactive. All adults are invited and we do our best to make new members welcome.

Liturgy Report:

We use the Hebrew liturgy not only because it is a Jewish thing to do, but because these prayers express quite eloquently a Scripture-based and heart-felt attitude towards G-d. Because we are all praying the same thing together, we come as one community before Him as we pray and can agree together in those prayers, more so than if we all prayed silently at the same time. The beauty of the melodies and the insight of the words should inspire us all to make the prayers our own, adding in our hearts the specific needs and/or concerns that praying them brings to mind

Prayer:

Beth Messiah produces a weekly prayer request list which is distributed through our weekly bulletin. Beth Messiah prays weekly in various locations at our four Chavurah groups. In addition, the elders are authorized to send out prayer requests to an extensive list of people who are informed of specific needs and asked to pray. Finally, we have prayer after services each week for building-related needs and concerns.  Prayer on  a regular basis is encouraged for every person and ministry in the congregation.
